It’s been a while since my last posting, but that doesn’t mean I haven ‘t been busy with doll business! Today I’m going to show you a unique and rare doll. This is Mamzelle de Paris, and she is a reproduction of a French doll from the 1960’s. Created after the illustrations of Edmund Kiraz, the original vintage doll was called La Parisienne de Kiraz. A vintage Kiraz doll is almost impossible to find, but happily for us, a reproduction doll was recently created and made available in very limited quantities. Have a look at the Mamzelle de Paris website to find out the latest info.
Mamzelle de Paris is about 11 inches tall. Her unique proportions prevent her from sharing clothes with almost any other doll (although you might have luck with vintage Ideal’s Fashion Flatsy….I’m only guessing). She has long legs and a tiny bust, so she is the perfect muse for lots of 60’s fashion. Here are a few things I’ve done for her:
Does anyone have an original Kiraz doll? Does anyone have one of the amazing reproduction Mamzelle de Paris dolls?
Hello Matilda, what a coincidence, I just recently found out about the existence of these dolls (I mean the original ones)! You have made such lovely outfits! The replica dolls look amazing, and thank you for the link, it was very interesting. Linda

I absolutely love the outfits you crested for these girls. I have just bought 5 nude mamzelle de Paris dolls and need clothes for them. Do you have any left for sale?
Thank you

Oh! How fun! To have 5 Mamzelles! I will be listing some new outfits for them in my etsy shop very soon! : )
Hi Matilda
That’s great news though I’m worried I’ll miss them. Is it possible to buy them directly when they are ready?
Hugs

Hi Matilda,
Any update on the mamzelle Dr Paris clothes? My girls are freezing lol!
On another note, I’m bringing out my own fashion doll in the new year. I’m looking for talented designers to see for me. It would be regular work. Would this interest you?
Thanks

Because of your beautiful outfits I bought myself one of these dolls (I’m so in love with their look!)…..now I wait for you to return to Etsy 😀 I’m signed up for when you do. I NEED one of your stunning outfits, can’t leave my new girl in her delicate’s forever! ❤
Hello, do you have a basic pattern to share for the Mamzelle doll? Do you draft your own patterns.
Thanks for the question and I’m sorry for the late reply. Yes, I do draft my own patterns but I do not have a basic pattern to share right now. That is actually a wonderful idea and I’d like to do that in the future!
Wondering if you know the manufacture date on the Mamzelles? Although most bloggers mention they are replicas of the Kiraz dolls of the 1960’s, there’s never any mention of when the Mamzelles were made.
I don’t know the exact manufacture date, but Mamzelles are very recent reproductions, made for adult collectors.
