Hi!  Thank you for checking out my little blog.  It’s a bit primitive as I’m still learning, so I’m really appreciative that you’ve stopped by.

I love vintage and new dolls.  This blog will be about my attempts to give old dolls a second chance as well as other aspects related to doll collecting.

You may have seen me elsewhere as “Lemieux Doll” or “Lemieux Doll Boutique”.  I’d love to keep it that way, but unfortunately, “Lemieux” is unpronounceable and/or completely forgettable to a lot of people out there.  So I changed my name to “Matilda Pink” in honor of my sweet grandmother, Matilda.  She shared her love of dolls with me, so it’s very appropriate.

Also, I do sell my doll clothes on etsy.  Please check out my shop MatildaPink.

Thanks so much!  : )

  1. Hi Diana, I’m Roberta from Dianna Effner’s Ning group. I just wanted to make an observation about the Jo Sonja’s paints that she recommends, off group. It wasn’t too much of a pain for me to buy them since I didn’t already have an big investment in other brands …. and I’ve been very happy with them. What I will say is that I’ve found I’m not needing all the colors that Dianna recommends getting – I could problaby get by with Payne’s Gray, Moss Green, Plum Pink, Burnt Umber, Smoked Pearl and Black. I do think it is a very good idea to invest in the Golden’s porcelain restoration glaze, and the Judykins Diamond glaze. The other mediums and retarder it may not be so important to stay with Dianna’s recommended brand.

What I’ve found is that the Jo Sonjas are less dense out of the tube than Liquitex-in-tubes, but not as liquid as Liquitex-in-bottles. I’m thinking that this middle-range consistency may be part of the reason Dianna likes them???

Hope this helps in deciding about buying the Jo Sonjas. I got my via the web from Jerry’s in

    • Thanks so much, Roberta! I really appreciate the help! I can’t wait to try some of the techniques she’s demonstrated! I’ve seen some of the repaints you’ve done, and they’re beautiful.
